Damita takes a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and client-centered approach to therapy.  She believes that every person possesses unique strengths and the ability to grow through life's challenges.  Her work is informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, solution-focused interventions, and a collaborative therapeutic style that empowers clients to recognize their abilities, develop coping skills, and create meaningful change.

In addition to her professional experiences, Damita brings a personal understanding of the unique challenges faced by military members, veterans, and their families through her experience as a military spouse.  This perspective has deepened her awareness of the impact that trauma, anxiety, stress, and major life Transitions can have on individuals and family systems while fostering a deep appreciation for resilience, adaptability, and support.

Damita is particularly passionate about helping individuals build confidence, motivation, and resilience during times of adversity and transition.  She has a special interest in working with athletes who are recovering from injuries or navigating setbacks that affect both performance and identity.  She understands that recovery involves not only physical healing, but also rebuilding confidence, managing emotions, and finding the motivation to move forward.  Drawing from both her professional experience and her natural ability to encourage and inspire others, she enjoys helping clients reconnect with their strengths and work toward their goals with confidence.
